I was already super excited to shoot Lisa and Joe’s 4th of July wedding and after chatting we discovered that we had a similar dilemma when it came to getting married. They couldn’t imagine getting married without their friends and family but the draw of an elopement surrounded by nature was a dream they both had. So we hatched a plan for their spiritual elopement! It was super special watching Lisa and Joe give their vow’s to one another under the power of a waterfall. My fiancé Zach handled their behind the scene cell phone shots while I did my best not to fall into the river with my gear!
Keep an eye open for our Cannon beach and Saddle Mountain engagement session we did the day before which i’ll blog soon. We’ll have to do some behind the scene shots as well! It was a once in a life time shoot with two of the best people.

I knew right away after connecting with Stephanie and Brian that their engagement session would be all about heading out to a local forest preserve. Stephanie suggested one of her favorite spots for a hike and I couldn’t wait to check it out. We explored the fields and tall prairie grass with their puppies and had a lovely quiet fall day.
Leela and Tyler are just a month shy of their one year anniversary and I'm so excited for them! We decided to celebrate with a session at the Art Institute before they head out on their next traveling adventure.
